After-hours answering, screening & booking

The 9pm call books itself into Tuesday at 10.

Not a message you return in the morning — a booked appointment waiting for you. The agent answers the moment you close, checks the caller against your own fit rules, and offers only the times your calendar is genuinely free at. Whoever did not fit never reaches your schedule.

The leak

The hours you are closed are the hours your competitors are one ring away.

Nobody is on duty, so every call is a coin flip you lose. Here is what the delay costs even once someone is back at a desk.

62% of calls go unanswered

A study of 85 small businesses across 58 industries found only 37.8% of inbound calls reached a live person. Each miss is money already spent on marketing.

The 5-minute cliff

Lead-response research found the odds of qualifying a lead drop 21x between a five-minute and a thirty-minute reply. Human callbacks rarely beat that clock consistently.

The message you return tomorrow

A voicemail or form fill left overnight is not a lead you kept, it is a lead you hope is still available. By morning the prospect has usually messaged three competitors.

How it works

From a 9pm ring to a booked slot, with nobody awake

No voicemail, no callback queue, no lead sitting in an inbox until Monday. Eight steps, all of them measured.

  1. 01

    They call after you close

A call rings in at nine at night, a text lands on a Sunday, or a form on your own site — wired to us in an afternoon — is submitted over a holiday weekend. It is answered on the first ring instead of going to voicemail.

Voice · SMS · Web forms you wire in

  2. 02

    Checked against your fit rules

Service area, job type, minimum size, and whatever else disqualifies a caller for you. Someone outside your rules is told so politely and never reaches your schedule.

Your rules, not a generic script

  3. 03

Reads the slots you actually have

Availability comes from your live free/busy and the hours you told us you work, so the times offered at 9pm are real openings on a working day — not the hour they happened to call.

Live free/busy · your working hours

  4. 04

    Held, then booked

The moment a time is named it is held, so two callers in the same minute cannot take it. On yes it is written to the calendar and the confirmation is texted before they hang up.

Slot hold · Calendar write · Confirmation

  5. 05

They can move it by replying

The confirmation text is a live thread. Someone who needs a different time says so in their own words, and the agent moves the visit and frees the old slot without anyone at the office touching it.

Reschedule · Cancel · Slot released

  6. 06

And they are asked again the day before

One text, a day out: is this still good? A yes shows on the board as confirmed. A no becomes a slot you can resell while there is still time to fill it — which is the difference between a gap and a wasted trip.

Asked once · Never chased · Confirmed or not, you know

  7. 07

You find out in the morning

A booking, a change or an escalation emails everyone on the account within seconds, naming what the agent already found out. You wake up to appointments, not a voicemail queue.

Capabilities

A front desk that never sleeps, never forgets, and never improvises

Built specifically for inbound revenue — not a general-purpose chatbot with a phone number bolted on.

Natural voice agents

Streaming turn-taking and barge-in support. Callers interrupt, change their mind, and give a rambling address — the agent keeps up.

  • Barge-in & interruption handling
  • Accent-robust recognition
  • Named voice per brand

Two-way SMS agents

Instant text-back on a missed call, and on a form fill once your site posts it to us, then a real conversation that qualifies and books — not a canned autoresponder.

  • Missed-call text-back
  • Quiet hours & STOP enforced
  • 10DLC registration handled

Smart routing & transfer

A caller the agent should not be handling is put through to your line, and you get an email naming what it already found out.

  • Live transfer mid-call
  • Email the moment one escalates
  • Overflow & after-hours modes

Fit checked before booking

Service area, job type, minimum size and your own disqualifiers are applied on the call. A caller who does not fit is told politely and never lands on your calendar.

  • Out-of-area callers screened out
  • Marked qualified, escalated or unqualified
  • Your rules, not a generic script

Auto-scheduled into open slots

Availability comes from your live calendar — Google or Microsoft 365 — or, if you do not keep one, from how many crews you can have out at once, crossed with the hours you work, so a 9pm caller is offered a real opening on a working day. The visit is written back and the caller gets it in writing.

  • Offered only from genuinely free time
  • Held so two callers cannot take one slot
  • Confirmation texted on the spot

Built for your trade

Tuned fit rules, not generic templates

Each deployment starts from a trade-specific intake playbook — the three questions that decide whether a caller is worth a visit in your trade — then gets rewritten around your own rules: your service area, your minimum job, your disqualifiers.

Water, Fire & Mold Restoration

A pipe lets go at two in the morning and the homeowner works down the list until somebody answers. That call is a five-figure mitigation job with an insurance file behind it, and it goes to whoever picks up — not to whoever calls back at eight.

  • 2am losses answered live, not at eight
  • Active water escalated straight to the on-call crew

Garage Door Service & Install

A broken spring is either a car locked in or a house left open, so it gets called in at seven in the evening and the homeowner takes the first company that answers. The agent gets the door, the fault and the address, and books the truck.

  • Evening breakdowns booked, not queued
  • Stuck doors separated from a new-door quote

Kitchen & Bath Remodeling

A homeowner planning a $40,000 kitchen calls three contractors on a Sunday afternoon, when all three are closed. The agent checks scope and service area, then books the design consult while the other two ring into voicemail.

  • Sunday callers booked, not called back
  • Scope and timeline captured before you drive out

Roofing & Exteriors

A storm week brings more calls in three days than the office normally sees in a month. The agent takes them concurrently, separates emergency tarping from a full replacement quote, and books the inspection.

  • Every call answered during a storm surge
  • Emergency tarping separated from replacement quotes

Veterinary Clinics

The desk is holding a dog, taking a payment and watching four lines ring. The agent takes the overflow — appointments, refill requests, and the owner whose cat has not eaten since yesterday — and books into the diary the practice already keeps.

  • Overflow answered while the desk is with a client
  • True emergencies escalated instead of booked

Independent Auto Repair & Tire

The phone rings all day while the service writer is at the counter, and half the callers only want to know whether you can take them today. The agent answers, gets the vehicle and the symptom, and books the drop-off.

  • Counter interruptions taken off the writer
  • Year, make, model and symptom captured before drop-off

Six of 34, from two-in-the-morning water damage to a veterinary front desk with four lines ringing. The test is the same either way: you can say who is worth booking, and the openings are either on a calendar we read or on the board we keep for you.

Integrations

Bring a calendar, or let us keep the board

Two calendars are the outside systems we read and write — Google Calendar and Microsoft 365, meaning Office 365 and Outlook — connected from your own dashboard against your own account. If you do not keep a calendar at all — most emergency and same-day trades do not — we keep the board instead, and offer against how many crews you can have out at once. We still do not sign into dispatch software and write jobs in it. What we do is send every booking, move, cancellation and outcome to an address you nominate, signed and retried until it lands, for your own system to act on — which is a wiring job on your side rather than something you switch on, and we would rather say so here than discover it on the call.

Google CalendarMicrosoft 365TwilioWebhooks

Real openings, not guesses

Times come from your live free/busy — or your crew count — crossed with the hours you told us you work, so nothing is offered on a day you are closed.

Held while they decide

A slot is held the moment the agent names it, so two callers in the same minute cannot be given the same hour.

On the schedule, not in a queue

The visit is written as an event on your calendar, or onto the board under Appointments, so the morning starts with a day rather than a list to reconcile.

  • A conversation is one inbound call, or one SMS thread however many messages it takes.
  • Counted by calendar month and shown on your dashboard as it runs.
  • Overage is your plan's own per-conversation rate — the 501st costs what the 500th did.
  • Stay on your plan and a month can never cost more than 1.5× it: the agent stops at half again your quota and calls ring through to your own line.
  • On Launch, reaching that ceiling moves you to Scale instead of stopping the agent — and only when the pace you are running would have cost more in overage than Scale charges. We email you when it happens, and you can switch it off.
  • Telephony and carrier costs are included in the monthly fee — there is no separate usage bill.
  • Month-to-month after the initial 90-day term. No per-seat pricing, ever.
FAQ

The questions buyers actually ask

If yours is not here, send it over — we answer directly, not with a brochure.

How fast can we actually go live?

We target a first real call within two weeks for a single location, and we will commit to a date once we have seen your intake script, pricing rules, and service area. We spend the first days on that configuration, then run a shadow period where the agent handles overflow only before it takes primary.

Will callers know it is an AI?

The agent identifies itself as an assistant when asked, and we can make disclosure mandatory on every call if your state or industry requires it. Most callers do not ask — they care that someone picked up and solved their problem.

What happens when the agent cannot handle something?

It escalates. You define the triggers — an angry caller, an out-of-scope request, a VIP account — and the agent either puts the call straight through to your line or takes the details. Either way everyone on the account is emailed within seconds, with what the agent already found out, so nobody has to be watching a dashboard.

What do you do about no-shows?

Every booked visit gets one text the day before asking whether it still stands. A yes marks it confirmed on your board. A no becomes a cancellation or a reschedule in the same thread, which turns a wasted trip into a slot you still have a day to resell. We ask once and never chase — a second unanswered text is how a business teaches its customers to ignore the first — so the visits nobody answered stay on the board as unconfirmed, which is the short list worth a phone call in the morning.

What if the customer needs to change the time?

They reply to the confirmation text in their own words — "can we do Thursday instead" is enough. The agent finds the visit from their number, offers times you are genuinely free at, moves it, and puts the old slot back on the market. Same on a call: someone ringing about a booking they already have is answered about that booking rather than sold a second one. There is no reply code to remember, deliberately: "cancel" is a carrier opt-out keyword, and a customer who typed it would be unsubscribed instead of rescheduled.

How does it know which slots are actually open?

Two ways, and you pick one. If you keep a calendar — Google Calendar, or Microsoft 365 for a business on Office 365 or Outlook — it reads the hours you are already booked and writes the visit back as an event. If you do not keep one — which is most emergency and same-day trades — we keep the board ourselves: you list the crews, trucks or techs you can send, and an hour is offered until every one of them is already out in it — mark somebody away for the day and the agent stops offering their slot from that moment. Either way it is crossed with the working hours you set, so a caller at 9pm is offered real openings on a working day rather than the hour they happened to call, and the moment the agent names a time it is held for five minutes so two callers in the same minute cannot be given the same slot. What we still do not do is sign into someone else's dispatch software and write the job in it ourselves. What we can do is send every booking, move and cancellation to an endpoint you nominate, signed and retried until it lands, for your system or whoever wires it up to create the job from — so a schedule that has to stay there is a wiring job rather than a dead end. Either way, tell us before you buy.

How does it decide who is worth booking?

You define fit: the area you serve, the jobs you take, the minimum size worth a visit, and whatever else disqualifies a caller. The agent applies those on the call and marks every lead qualified, escalated or unqualified, so someone outside your rules is told politely and never reaches your calendar. You see the reasoning on the transcript, and you can change the rules whenever you like.

Can it use our real pricing without making things up?

The agent is instructed never to quote a number that is not in your script, and to say it will confirm and route to a human instead. The things that must never be improvised are checked in code rather than asked of the model: it can only offer times your calendar is genuinely free at, and it cannot text a number that opted out.

How do you handle recording consent and TCPA?

Recording is off until you turn it on, and when it is on the disclosure is spoken before anything is captured. Consent is captured and timestamped, opt-outs propagate across voice and SMS immediately, and messages we start are held during quiet hours. We register your 10DLC campaign and keep an audit log of every message and call.

Do we have to change our phone number?

No. We forward your existing number or sit in front of it as an overflow and after-hours destination. Your number, your caller ID, your brand.

Can we run more than one number on one account?

Up to five on Scale, and they are genuinely separate lines rather than five numbers pointed at one script. Each has its own voice agent, its own SMS agent, its own greeting and its own departments, so a commercial line and a residential one answer differently and transfer to different desks — a caller on the emergency number is never offered billing. What they share is the account: one calendar, one bill, one conversation count, and one dashboard the whole book of business is read from. Launch runs one number. Moving down a tier never takes a number off you, but you cannot add another until you are back inside the new allowance.

What happens if we go over the conversations in our plan?

You keep going, at your plan's own rate. Launch is $1.00 a conversation past 500 and Scale is $0.50 past 2,500 — the same rate you already pay inside the plan, because a busy month is the product working rather than something to fine you for. We email the workspace at 80% and again when the included conversations are used up, so the invoice is never the first you hear of it. If the overage stops being occasional we will tell you that moving up a tier is cheaper, because it is.

Is there a ceiling, or can the bill run away?

There is a hard ceiling and it is half again your plan: 750 conversations on Launch, 3,750 on Scale. Reaching it does one of two things and neither of them is a surprise invoice. Either we move you up a tier — only ever when the pace you are running would have cost more in overage than the bigger plan charges, so the move is the cheaper of the two and never the dearer — or the agent stops answering. When it stops, and this is the part worth reading, your calls do not. They ring through to your own line exactly as they did before you had an agent, and inbound texts are still recorded for you to read. The phone never goes dead because a meter ran out. Stay on your plan and the most a month can cost is $750 on Launch and $1,875 on Scale.

You move us up a tier automatically — how do we know that is not just an upsell?

Because it only fires when the arithmetic makes it the cheaper month for you, and here is the arithmetic. 1,250 conversations is the break-even: at Launch's $1.00 a conversation, 1,250 costs exactly what Scale costs. So the test at the ceiling is the pace you are running, not the ceiling itself. Hit 750 on the 11th and you are on for roughly 2,300 conversations — a month that would come to about $2,300 on Launch against Scale's $1,250, so we move you and you pay a thousand less. Hit the same 750 on the 29th and you are on for about 780, which is a busy fortnight rather than a bigger business, so we leave you where you are and the agent stops: moving you with two days left would cost you $500 for those two days. It only ever goes Launch to Scale, never to Enterprise, which is scoped and quoted by a person rather than reached by a meter. You get an email the moment it happens with the numbers in it, your dashboard says so, and if it really was a freak month we will move you back and bill the old rate. Prefer never to be moved? Say so and we will switch it off — you will stop at the ceiling instead.

What if we want to turn it off?

Turning the agent off returns calls to your existing routing. Contracts are month-to-month after the initial 90 days, and you keep every transcript and recording on export.
